About Us
In November 1980 the Central Baptist Church Welfare Association (CEBACWAS) was formed to plan and provide care for the aged. The first of their residential centres for seniors was Glenhaven Retirement Centre - a village on 3, 3 hectares comprising 100 cottages, 50 flats, 10 rooms and a frail-care wing of up to 60 beds. This lovely retirement centre in the east of Pretoria has become recognized as one of the best value for money retirement centres in Pretoria whilst providing top-class services.
Glenhaven is one of the first retirement centres in South Africa to combine the four categories of facilities for the aged, viz., nursing for the frail-aged residents in self-contained flats; cottages (the right of occupation of which has been sold to the residents); and a service centre providing meals and other services to the aged inside and outside Glenhaven.
The second retirement complex is Rosendal, housing about 110 residents. This was previously an 7 storey hotel (called the “Bachelors Hotel”) in Pretorius Street that was converted into a retirement centre with a frail-care floor.
CEBACWAS also provides the management services to the Haven Village Retirement Centre – an upmarket retirement village in the east of Pretoria.
The main aim of CEBACWAS is to provide holistic care, i.e. caring for the complete person in a comfortable, safe and affordable environment.
By means of the three centres there is something to suit everybody looking to enjoy their hard-earned retirement years. |
